For new 2018 Mac Mini, what CD/DVD drive will work with the USB-C connector? I am dead in the water because cannot reload Adobe software from original disks. Have run across many caveats regarding 2011 Mac Mini vs new one (OS maybe), so need to be certain what peripheral reader will work.

Thank the studios/distributors who invented that bright idea of regional coding to annoy users.
You might be able to add a small USB DVD player/writer and reserve that for one of the regions, but I'm not certain the region switching applies to the hardware items on an individual basis and is not system wide.
I suspect Google might help you if you are prepared to go down unsupported routes, though you could potentially render the internal DVD player useless if you applied some kind of corrupt/bad modification to it.
